Guest services

The Guest Services Team of Greeters and Ushers has the opportunity to make the best first impression when people are entering the church. Greeters meet the guest as they arrive and provide bulletins, guidance and direction for guests and first-time visitors. The Greeters also ensure the special guest (speakers, pastor’s family, etc..) receive a courteous welcome and are responsible for making their stay a pleasant and memorable one. It is an expectation that Guest Services members arrive early to provide a welcoming experience to all guests. The Usher team is responsible for providing a comfortable transition from the lobby area to the sanctuary in the most welcoming and friendly way. Ushers will often be familiar with the area and number of empty seats for guests to move easily from the doorway to a comfortable seating location. Ushers also assist with Baptism services and other special events including, but not limited to, offering and communion. Greeters and Ushers are all responsible for connecting visitors with the Welcome Center staff to ensure information is received and a visitor’s gift is provided.
